How can you personalize the challenge of global missions? Cooperative Baptist Fellowship offers several global missions options as you begin discerning God's leadership. Volunteering is a significant way to be a part of the ongoing work of the Fellowship. As a volunteer, you have the chance to make a vital contribution in others’ lives and to challenge your worldview while physically being the presence of Christ. You will be a part of carrying Christ’s love to others. You will also be changed. The Fellowship provides volunteer opportunities for individuals, missions teams or students, including youth groups. student.go is the avenue CBF of Missouri uses for students interested in a summer of mission service. CBFMO encourages students to give one summer in mission service and provides a $1000 scholarship in addition to CBF's funding for this endeavor. CBF in China provides a number of ways to teach English in a Chinese college to teachers and students and to share in cultural exchange. CBF of Missouri sponsors a Project Visit to the Guangxi Province yearly. Mission Exchange (MX) effectively assigns church youth and college mission groups to a short term project in established ministry settings. Short Term Missions are opportunities for an individual or church to engage in life-shaping experiences while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Global Service Corps provides for two-three year mission assignments. American Interim Pastors connects retired American pastors and lay leaders with pastorless churches in the U.K. This ministry partnership is a direct result of the Tilbury Project, the first partnership endorsed by CBFMO. |
