Telling the Stories The story of CBF is really the stories of churches and individuals who are serious about being the presence of Christ where they are. This issue of Connect tells the story of one church connecting with children with cerebral palsy in Nanning China. The most recent issue of Word & Way told the story of Holmeswood Church (Kansas City), First Church (Lee’s Summit) and Kirkwood Church (St. Louis). The paper also told the story of individuals who were in Kenya with Change for Children. I am committed to the idea that the focus of the New Testament is on the strength of the local church and not on conventions or associations. The growth and vibrancy of the Fellowship is measured by churches and individuals capturing (and re-capturing!) the joy of the Gospel. Together Fellowship-partnering churches and individuals are capturing (and re-capturing!) the best of our strength—networking and cooperating to grow the Kingdom of God. It is quite a journey that God calls us to. I am grateful for your financial and prayer support. I am praying we end this calendar year in strong shape to propel us to a "best year ever" in 2008.
