Local Congregations, Global Missions

Rob Nash has spent the last year circling the globe, traveling to places as diverse as Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Last month, Nash took a whirlwind tour through the Missouri speaking about the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s global missions strategy.

As the son of a missionary, Nash understands the immense challenges that global field personnel face every day. As CBF’s coordinator of global missions, Nash also understands the vital role that local churches play in mission engagement and has focused on putting congregations at the heart of CBF’s global missions strategy.

"We’re ready to implement a viable model for global mission engagement in the twenty-first century that encourages and facilitates congregational participation in global mission," said Nash. The recent formation of a missional church team to work alongside the existing field ministries team will help churches make an easier and more sustained connection with global field personnel and mission projects.

More than 200 Fellowship supporters in Hamilton, Kansas City, Bolivar, Springfield, Jefferson City and St. Louis had a chance to interact with Nash. In addition, Nash preached in two worship services at First Baptist, Lee’s Summit.
